The removal of Rush from Battlefield 6 isn't going over well within the game's community, as developer Battlefield Studios confirms it's exploring ways to bring it back.
Playlists for the mode, along with several others like King of the Hill and Team Deathmatch, were removed with no real warning or fanfare from Battlefield 6 following its minor patch 1.4.1.5 update on August 4.
The modes were also removed from custom searches, relegating the modes to Battlefield 6's Portal custom games.
According to the official Battlefield Comms social media account several days after the fact, developer Battlefield Studios said this was to "improve matchmaking quality by focusing players into the playlists seeing the most activity, creating more consistent matches that fill, and getting our players into the action faster." https://x.com/BattlefieldComm/status/2085773140324761604?s=20 Rush has been a Battlefield staple for years, even if its implementation and smaller player-count matches in Battlefield 6 left something to be desired.
